NYC is over. It’s passe. Working class people are leaving, creative people are leaving, even financial sector people are leaving as the EU and Asian markets strengthen. NYC isn’t what it used to be. It’s just going to be a bunch of arrogant guys in overpriced luxury condos.
It’s funny how the decline in Harlem and the Lower East Side almost parallels the gentrification and disneyfication of the city.
Is NYC becoming a glorified gated community?
I absolutely love this place!! The hummus is delicious, so creamy and warm. The warm pita is excellent and you can have super tasting falafels with more delicious sauces. The place is very friendly and casual, it’s also just fine to go alone and snack over a book or the newspaper.
Definitely, it’s one of my best spot in the E.V.
I am just waiting for Roberto to go there again. (plz come soon!!)
Bombs filled with cream were hurled against the base of Partito Democratico in the square of Sant’ Anastasia in Rome.
Around 10 a.m. people with covered face threw the krapfen and escaped before the police arrived. Apparently their aim is to protest against the security reform process under way in Italy.
A reference to terror attacks and Piazza Fontana bombing, appeared in a leaflet found in the square, recalling the date of 12 december 1969.
The bombing marked at the time the start of a series of attacks known as “the strategy of tension” between 1969 and 1974 by the right wing group, Ordine Nuovo. The explosions come at a time of deep social unrest and political uncertainty in Italy.

A ll the world loves Italy because it is old but still glamorous. Because it eats and drinks well but is rarely fat or drunk. Because it is the place in hyper-regulated Europe where people still debate with perfect intelligence what, really, the red in a stoplight might mean.
But these days, for all the outside adoration and all its innate strengths, Italy seems not to love itself. The word here is “malessere,” or malaise, and it implies a collective funk - economic, political and social - summed up in a recent poll: Italians, despite their claim to have mastered the art of living, report themselves the least happy people in Western Europe.
now I know the reason why Harry met Sally there… their pastrami is really as good as people say. One sandwich, piled high, with tender, juicy pastrami, is enough to share with a friend. Although I have to say… $15 for a sandwich is pretty expensive. Definitely worth trying at least once.
The service (or lack thereof) by old school waiters could be irritating, be aware! However if this restaurant has been around over 100 years, maybe it is doing something right.
This guy is so controversial… I really wonder if he is a populist, a socialist leader, or just a crazy politician. However his respect for the outcome of the referendum should vindicate his standing as a democratic leader.
